Air Liquide: development agreement with Faurecia
(CercleFinance.com) - Air Liquide and Faurecia have announced signing a joint development agreement to design and produce on-board liquid hydrogen tank systems for the automotive industry.
Both companies will accelerate the deployment of net-zero mobility in heavy-duty vehicles.
The company said that liquid hydrogen tanks for fuel cell vehicles have a key role to play in accelerating the transition to carbon neutrality. This technology doubles the storage capacity of on-board hydrogen compared to the amount of hydrogen stored in gaseous form.
As a result, trucks with liquid hydrogen storage technology have twice the range, while benefiting from fast refuelling times and an unchanged payload.
