Bolloré: research partnership with Switzerland's SIPBB

(CercleFinance.com) - Blue Solutions, the Bolloré Group's electric battery subsidiary, announces that it has signed a framework agreement with the Switzerland Innovation Park Biel/Bienne (SIPBB), a private, non-profit Swiss organisation that conducts and supports applied R&D in industry.


Both partners plan to collaborate on automated disassembly of battery packs and modules, modeling of the cell and part of the production process through a digital twin project, and accelerated cell ageing tests.

This partnership comes at the same time as the announcement of two other Blue Solutions collaboration contracts with the Bern University of Applied Sciences (BFH) and the CSEM (Centre suisse d'électronique et de microtechnique) in Neuchâtel.

Through this type of R&D partnership, Blue Solutions intends to develop the next generation of all-solid-state batteries, an essential challenge in the context of the transition to all-electricity, it said.
