Nokia: new inventory functionality for drones

(CercleFinance.com) - Nokia announces the launch of a new inventory counting feature for its Nokia Autonomous Inventory Monitoring Service (AIMS), enabling autonomous drones to accurately count items in warehouses.

The idea is to reduce inventory losses, often caused by administrative errors, and enable faster order completion.

According to Nokia, Nokia AIMS drones will be able to take inventory faster and more consistently than humans, while providing a more accurate and complete picture of inventory.

Available in the US, this new feature will be accessible at no extra cost to existing customers via a software upgrade, and free for one year to new customers signed up in 2024.

Nokia AIMS promises a return on investment of '40% or more', and also frees up human resources for higher value-added tasks.
