Siemens Gamesa: Siemens Energy takeover bid opens today

(CercleFinance.com) - Siemens Energy announced on Tuesday that its takeover bid for Siemens Gamesa had opened today and that it would run for 36 calendar days, up until 13 December.


The German energy group yesterday announced that it had received the green light from the Spanish stock exchange authority CNMV to launch its bid for the 32.9% of Siemens Gamesa that it does not yet own.

Siemens Energy officially announced its desire to buy its wind turbine subsidiary in May, which has been facing industrial and financial difficulties for many quarters now.

Its offer was made at a price of 18.05 euros per share.

The group plans to delist its subsidiary if it manages to reach the threshold of at least 75% of the capital.
