BBVA: 9m net profit up 46%

(CercleFinance.com) - Spanish bank BBVA has announced net profit of 4.
84 billion euros between January and September 2022 (+46.2% at current exchange rates, +47% in constant euros).

This figure is thanks to increased business, with double-digit growth in loans (+15% in constant euros) and a positive performance in recurring revenues (+28.8% in constant euros), it says. Q3 net income came in at 1.84 billion euros (+31.4% at current exchange rates, +34.1 at constant exchange rates).

Net interest income rose to 13.81 billion euros in the year to September, up 32.6% year-on-year. Gross income rose to 18.37 billion euros, up 21.2% y-o-y.

BBVA continues to make progress in its profitability, with its ROE increasing to 15% and an ROTE of 15.7% at end-September.
