Novo Nordisk: new plant planned for Pharmatech
(CercleFinance.com) - Novo Nordisk Pharmatech, a subsidiary of Novo Nordisk, is planning to invest about 1.
5bn DKK (around E200m) in the construction of a new plant south of Copenhagen, where the company intends to manufacture pharmaceutical raw materials.
The Koge site, which is to cover an area of 8,000 m2, will house production and storage facilities, as well as offices and research laboratories.
It is scheduled to open in 2027.
Novo Nordisk Pharmatech SAYS that the facility will be dedicated to the supply of components for the production of drugs to treat "critical" chronic diseases.
The investment, which is expected to create 50 new jobs, is the largest ever made by Novo Nordisk Pharmatech in its 75-year history.
