Novo Nordisk: further collaboration with Microsoft

(CercleFinance.com) - Novo Nordisk and Microsoft have announced a new strategic collaboration to combine the former's drug discovery, development and data science capabilities with the latter's computer science and artificial intelligence (AI) services.


One use case will focus on automated summarisation and analysis of information from sources such as literature, patents, scientific reports and forum discussions in order to gain new scientific insights.

A second case will aim to develop models to predict a person's risk of developing atherosclerosis. AI will also be used to identify new targets or established biomarkers of this cardiovascular disease.
