E.ON: H1 earnings down 20%

(CercleFinance.com) - E.
ON has reported a 20% decline in adjusted net profit for H1 2022, which reached just over 1.4 billion euros, with adjusted EBITDA of just under 4.1 billion euros, about 700 million euros below the same period last year.

The group said that it is helping Germany and its European markets to respond to the extraordinary crisis in the near term and are also working to establish long-term energy security by accelerating the energy transition.

Believing its investment plan to be on schedule, which will enable it to post organic in earnings growth, E.ON still expects adjusted EBITDA of 7.6-7.8 billion euros and adjusted net income of 2.3-2.5 billion euros (or 88-96 cents per share) for 2022.

The share is down about 1.5% in early trading today.
