Adidas: E75m net loss in 2023

(CercleFinance.com) - adidas announces that sales reached E4,812m in Q4 2023, down 7.
6% y-o-y.

Its operating loss reached -E377m, about half the -E724m a year earlier. The Group posted a Q4 net loss (group share) of -E379m (vs. -E512m in Q4 2022), representing quarterly EPS of -E2.36.

adidas posted FY net sales of E21.4bn, down 4.8% on 2022.

Annual EPS is thus -E0.67, compared with +E1.25 in 2022.

Bjørn Gulden, CEO of Adidas, said that although not good enough, 2023 ended better than I expected at the beginning of the year.

He expects some growth in Q1, before a stronger acceleration in H2.

Adidas expects operating income of around E500m in 2024.
