Lufthansa: net profit more than doubles in 2023

(CercleFinance.com) - Lufthansa reports a more than doubling of net profit to E1.
7bn for 2023, compared with E790m the previous year, with operating profit (adjusted EBIT) up 80% to E2.7bn, representing a 2.7-point margin improvement to 7.6%.

The German airline's sales rose by 15% to E35.4bn, with passenger numbers up by 20% to over 120 million, with the group boasting continued strong booking momentum.

A dividend of E0.30 per share will be proposed to the next AGM for the past year. For 2024, Lufthansa expects operating profit to be on a par with 2023, and intends to accelerate its international development.
