Siemens sets up high-speed train plant in the USA
(CercleFinance.com) - Siemens Mobility announces the establishment of the first high-speed train production plant in North America, in Horseheads, New York.
This facility, the only one of its kind in the USA, will manufacture the American Pioneer 220, the first American high-speed trains, destined for the Brightline West line between Las Vegas and Southern California.
Production is scheduled to start in 2026.
According to Siemens, this plant marks the beginning of a new industry in the United States, with innovative trains and cutting-edge technology.
The trains will reach speeds in excess of 300 km/h and set 'a new standard in transportation', the manufacturer assures.
