Siemens: acquires France's Nextflow Software

(CercleFinance.com) - Siemens announced on Friday that it has acquired Nextflow Software, a French software company specialising in computational fluid dynamics (CFD) digital simulation.


The German industrial giant said that Nextflow Software will join the scope of its digital product development and manufacturing division, Siemens Digital Industries Software.

In particular, its activities will strengthen Simcenter software, which combines systems simulation, 3D CAE and testing for product lifecycle management.

Founded in 2015 in Nantes, Nextflow designs computer-aided engineering (CAE) software in the field of hydrodynamics, particularly for manufacturers of products and systems involving fluid flows in sectors such as automotive, aeronautics or maritime.

The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
