Daimler: caravan market looks promising in 2021

(CercleFinance.com) - Daimler reports that "Vanlife" - i.
e. a form of caravanning - is a booming market at the moment.

In Germany, according to the German Association of the Caravanning Industry (CIVD), new registrations have reached a new peak in 2020, with around 80,000 newly registered motorhomes.

The situation is pretty much the same in the rest of Europe and the US, and the forecast for 2021 is also promising, Daimler says, adding that it is compact motorhomes that are stimulating growth, as they are suitable for both travel and everyday use.

Mercedes-Benz Vans is therefore aiming for 25% sales growth of its "Marco Polo" family of vans in 2021, saying that it sees real potential for growth in the coming years.
