BMW: invests E200m in Landshut plant

(CercleFinance.com) - BMW Group announces a further investment in its Landshut plant.
The German component manufacturing site is thus continuing its transformation towards electric mobility.

BMW Group's Landshut plant is increasing its production capacity by expanding the facilities for manufacturing the central housing of the electric drive unit that will equip Neue Klasse models.

BMW Group is investing a further 200 million euros, bringing total investment at the German plant since 2020 to around E1bn.

Out of this amount, around E500m has been used to expand the plant to cover electric mobility.

Annual production capacity for fifth- and sixth-generation aluminum housings is increasing by around 30%.

It says that it is constantly developing its site's expertise, both in the production of our cutting-edge components and in the development of new technologies. This set of skills gives it the flexibility it will need in the future.
