BMW: partners THACO to produce in Vietnam

(CercleFinance.com) - BMW Group today announced that it has teamed up with Truong Hai Auto Corporation (THACO) to produce BMW vehicles locally in Chu Lai, Quang Nam province, Vietnam.


This cooperation will expand BMW Group's vehicle production network in Asia, which now includes BMW Group plants in India and Thailand, joint venture plants in China and partner plants in Malaysia, Indonesia and now Vietnam.

With this decision, the BMW Group is once again applying its strategic principle that production follows the market, it said.

BMW shares are currently flat, although are outperforming the German market by almost 0.5%.
