UBS: launches investment initiative for waste reduction

(CercleFinance.com) - Swiss wealth manager UBS is launching a new longer-term investment initiative to help private clients find opportunities in waste reduction, it said on Monday.


The "Future of Waste" program is intended to help investors identify equities and bonds of waste management companies, as well as firms that reduce their levels of waste.

The offering contains investments from UBS and third parties, including individual stocks and bonds, liquid funds whose constituents outperform on waste metrics, private market funds where specific portfolio companies address waste, direct investments; and companies which outperform on waste and pollution metrics as assessed by UBS' standards.

The private bank said it plans to add other instalments later in 2020.
