Roche: Covid-19 drug approved in Japan

(CercleFinance.com) - Roche has announced that the Japanese Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (MHLW) has approved Ronapreve (casirivimab and imdevimab) for the treatment of patients with mild-to-moderate Covid-19 by intravenous infusion.


This approval was based on the results of the global Phase III REGN-COV 2067 study, which showed that Ronapreve reduced hospital admissions or death by 70% in high risk outpatients.

Outside Japan, this antibody combination has been approved for emergency or temporary pandemic use in other jurisdictions and regions, including the European Union, the US, India, Switzerland and Canada.
