Solvay: 'Supplier of the Year' for Boeing

(CercleFinance.com) - Solvay announces that it has received Boeing's "Supplier of the Year" award, having been selected alongside nine other companies for its outstanding performance in working with the US aircraft manufacturer.


The Supply Chain Visibility category recognised Solvay's support of Boeing's digital thread strategy by providing real-time visibility across the supply chain.

The winners were chosen from over 13,000 suppliers operating in 48 countries worldwide, based on performance criteria of quality, delivery, cost, environmental initiatives, customer service and technical expertise.

The Belgian chemical group points out that its composite materials business helps the aviation industry to reduce CO₂ emissions by making aircraft lighter to reduce fuel consumption and improve aerodynamics.
