Ryanair: to take delivery of up to 29 Boeing 737s in 2025
(CercleFinance.com) - On 28 December Ryanair confirmed that it will take delivery of up to 29 new Boeing 737s in 2025, representing a $3bn investment in state-of-the-art aircraft technology.
The company says the new aircraft will reduce CO2 emissions by 16% and noise by 40%, while carrying 4% more passengers.
Ryanair says the aircraft will be assigned 'to efficient, low-cost airports in EU countries where governments are stimulating aviation growth, such as Sweden, Italy, Spain and Poland.
No development is planned in countries where taxes are increasing, such as the UK, France and Germany, the company adds.
