(CercleFinance.com) - The Paris stock market ended the day at its highest level ever, with a gain of 1% to 7355 pts, driven by Crédit Agricole (+2.
4%), Teleperformance (+2.2%) and Stellantis (+2.1%).

Due to the "trêve des confiseurs", volumes were rather limited throughout the day, although they climbed to 2.2 billion euros in the last few minutes of trading.

Over the past week, the Paris index has fallen by 0.4%, a contraction that has reached 2.6% since the beginning of the year.

In this holiday season, the bond market is hesitant in a data-poor environment, with the yield on 10-year Treasuries stabilizing at around 4.58%.

The currency markets are also very calm, with the euro little changed against the dollar, in the $1.0422/E zone (+0.2%).

In the news for French companies, Voltalia announces the launch of construction of three new solar farms in the south of France with a total capacity of 25.1 megawatts, including a 10.7-megawatt farm located on a 15-hectare agricultural wasteland.

Eramet announces the first production of lithium carbonate from its recently commissioned direct extraction plant (DLE) in Centenario, Salta province, Argentina, three years after construction began.

Finally, ENGIE announces that, via Ocean Winds, its 50-50 joint venture with EDP Renewables dedicated to offshore wind power, it has won a 250 MW floating project from the French Ministry of Industry and Energy, as part of the AO6 call for tenders.
