BNP Paribas: agreement signed for the acquisition of AXA IM

(CercleFinance.com) - BNP Paribas Cardif announces that it has signed an agreement with AXA to acquire its asset manager AXA Investment Managers, following completion of the information-consultation procedure with the relevant employee representative bodies.


"This signature marks an important step in the process of acquiring AXA IM and establishing a long-term partnership with AXA", comments Renaud Dumora, Chairman of BNP Paribas Cardif and Deputy CEO of BNP Paribas.

The price agreed for the acquisition and the implementation of the long-term partnership is 5.1 billion euros at closing scheduled for mid-2025 with an anticipated impact on BNP Paribas' CET1 ratio of 25 basis points subject to agreements with the relevant authorities.
