Airbus: Air Canada orders 5 more A220-300s
(CercleFinance.com) - Airbus reports that Air Canada has placed a firm order for five more Airbus A220-300s, bringing its total to 65 aircraft.
This acquisition marks the fifth anniversary of the delivery of its first A220 in 2019.
The A220, built in Quebec, has enabled Air Canada to expand its network with advantageous economic features and passenger comfort.
Airbus underlines the A220's efficiency, capable of reducing fuel consumption and carbon emissions per seat by 25%.
Since its launch, the A220 has won nearly 900 orders and is operated by 23 airlines worldwide.
