Orange: distribution agreement signed with Disney

(CercleFinance.com) - On Friday, Orange announced the signature of a distribution agreement with Disney, which will give the telecom operator's subscribers access to the US media giant's content.


Under the terms of the agreement, the Disney Channel (children's programming) and National Geographic (documentaries) will be offered to all Orange TV customers from 2 January.

Customers will be able to access these channels via their set-top box and the Orange TV application on smartphones, as well as from a wide selection of connected TVs.

In addition, customers of Orange's 'Livebox Max' package will benefit from a five-euro discount for life when they subscribe to the entertainment group's streaming platform, Disney+.

The operator's other TV customers will be able to take advantage of a one-month free offer to discover the Disney+ service.

Finally, Orange subscribers will be able to access Disney films four months after their theatrical release from Orange's video-on-demand (VOD) service.

These productions will involve all the studios in the Disney group, namely Disney, Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar Animation, Marvel Studios, Lucasfilm, 20th Century Studios and Searchlight Pictures.
