AstraZeneca: a new Vice-President for International Sales

(CercleFinance.com) - AstraZeneca announced on Wednesday the appointment of Iskra Reic as Executive Vice President in charge of its international activities, a position which covers China in particular.


In a press release, the biopharmaceutical group explains that Iskra Reic succeeds Leon Wang, whose leave of absence has been extended due to the executive's current investigation in China.

Iskra Reic, who joined AstraZeneca in 2001, was previously Executive Vice President for Europe and Canada. Since 2021, she has been in charge of vaccines and immunotherapies for the laboratory.

In addition to China and the Asian market in general, her new scope of activity will encompass Eurasia, Africa, Latin America, Australia and New Zealand.

His appointment comes at a time when AstraZeneca's share price has fallen by almost 20% over the last three months, notably due to investigations into its operations in China.
