KBC: shareholders' agreement extended
(CercleFinance.com) - KBC announced on Friday that a shareholders' pact controlling 30% of its capital had decided to extend its action de concert for another 10 years.
KBC Ancora, the Cera cooperative, the MRBB holding company and other shareholders have renewed their 'anchoring agreements' to ensure the stability and continuity of the Belgian banking group.
A stable, local shareholder base forms the basis for healthy future development and the creation of sustainable value for all shareholders and stakeholders over the long term", said the bank.
As a reminder, a shareholders' agreement with an initial duration of 10 years was concluded in 2004, and subsequently renewed in an updated form for a further 10 years.
Cera, KBC Ancora, MRBB and the other so-called 'stable' shareholders together control more than 30% of all KBC Group shares.
On the Brussels stock exchange, the KBC share was little changed (-0.2%) following this news.
