HSBC: series of changes to management team
(CercleFinance.com) - HSBC announces a series of changes to its senior management team, which will take effect on 1 January 2025.
Richard Blackburn has been appointed Acting Group Chief Risk and Compliance Officer. He will also become a member of the Group Operating Committee.
Richard Blackburn joined HSBC in 2016 and has held a number of risk management roles within the Group, including Chief Risk Officer for Global Banking Markets, Commercial Banking, Middle East and North Africa and Europe, and his current role is Global Head of Trading and Treasury Risk Management and Global Analytics.
In addition, Céline Herweijer has taken the decision to step down as Group Sustainability Director to pursue new opportunities with effect from 31 December 2024.
HSBC announces that Julian Wentzel, currently Head of Global Banking for the MENAT region, has been appointed Interim Group Sustainability Director. In this interim role, Julian will report to Pam Kaur, Group CFO.
