USA: slight decline in weekly jobless claims
(CercleFinance.com) - The Labor Department reports that 217,000 new U.
S. jobless claims were registered last week, down by 4,000 on the week of November 4.
The four-week moving average - more representative of the underlying trend - came in at 221,000, down by 6,250 on the previous week.
Finally, the number of people receiving regular benefits fell by 11,000 to 1,873,000 during the week of October 28, the most recent period available for this statistic.
