Rolls-Royce to supply 10 mtu gas generators to Collicutt, Canada

(CercleFinance.com) - Rolls-Royce has announced the supply of 10 mtu 20V 4000 L64 FNER gas generators to Collicutt Energy Services for installations in Alberta, Canada, to supply the grid during periods of high demand.


Each installation will supply electricity to the grid at peak times, guaranteeing constant availability for the community and industry.

As a reminder, Alberta's electricity market is unique in Canada, as it is a deregulated, for-profit system that pays power generators based on the electricity they send to the grid.

'The mtu Series 4000 gas-fired generators, which are more environmentally friendly than coal or diesel, will enable efficient, low-emission power generation', assures Rolls-Royce.

Collicutt, which is overseeing the project, will be responsible for their maintenance, promoting rapid installation thanks to a plug-and-play system.
