Nokia: strengthens Elisa's fiber network in Finland

(CercleFinance.com) - Nokia has announced that Elisa, a leading Finnish telecommunications and digital services provider, will deploy Nokia's Lightspan MF solution to strengthen its fiber network and offer new ultra-high-speed services in Finland.


Elisa thus becomes the first European operator to test 25G, 50G and 100G PON services, demonstrating high connection speeds over its existing infrastructure.

Nokia says its Lightspan platform will enable Elisa to offer speeds up to 10 times faster than traditional fiber networks.

Sami Rajamäki, Vice President of Network Services at Elisa, said: 'Nokia's fiber solution helps us enhance our network to offer some of the fastest Internet speeds in the world.'
