Renault: four 'collabs' to accompany the new R4
(CercleFinance.com) - At the Paris Motor Show on Tuesday, Renault unveiled a series of collaborations designed to accompany the presentation of its new electric Renault 4.
In anticipation of the commercial launch of the Renault 4 E-Tech electric, scheduled for 2025, the Renault group has teamed up with a number of French start-ups to design a mini-caravan, an electric airplane, an electric motorcycle and an electric watercraft, all inspired by its new city car.
Developed with Toulouse-based Aura Aero, the 'Intégrale E' is a two-seater electric aircraft measuring 7.26 m long with a wingspan of 8.78 m, boasting a flight time of one hour with a battery recharge in less than thirty minutes.
The caravan designed with Nantes-based Carapate Aventure, created in 2019, revives the 'teardrop trailers', lightweight mini-caravans invented in the USA.
Manufactured locally near Nantes, these retro-designed units feature a sleeping system that can be converted into a sofa, and an indoor-outdoor kitchen, for an easy-to-tow weight of 560 kg.
The electric motorcycle developed with Ateliers HeritageBike, a start-up based in Annecy, is inspired by 1980s design, with a standardized range of 110 km.
Finally, the Searider, designed with a start-up from the Alpes-Maritimes, is a water bike capable of reaching 55 km/h on water, thanks to two 22 kW electric motors.
These four Renault 4-inspired targets will be available for pre-order at the Paris Motor Show, for production in small series, and will be available, like the Renault 4, next spring.
