USA: wholesaler inventories virtually unchanged in August
(CercleFinance.com) - US wholesaler inventories rose by 0.
1% in August compared with the previous month, according to the Commerce Department, following a 0.2% increase in July (confirmed compared with the initial estimate).
Wholesaler sales, meanwhile, fell by 0.1% in August. As a result of these virtually unaffected trends, the time taken to clear inventories remained broadly stable month-on-month, at 1.35 months.
