Bayer: new strategic collaboration with BBM

(CercleFinance.com) - Bayer and Asklepios BioPharmaceutical (AskBio), a gene therapy company owned as a subsidiary of Bayer, have announced a new strategic collaboration with Belief BioMed (BBM) to explore the potential of new gene therapies.


The companies will combine their efforts and experience in gene therapy technology to explore potential therapies in diseases that could be treated using a liver-targeted approach.

Gene therapy presents one of the greatest potentials of modern medicine, especially from a technical point of view, said Juergen Eckhardt, MD, Head of Business Development and Licensing at Bayer Pharmaceuticals.
