Continental: logistics center planned for Dallas
(CercleFinance.com) - Continental announced on Thursday that it plans to build a distribution center for its tires in the Dallas-Fort-Worth area (Texas).
Construction of the site, which will cover an area of almost 70,000 m2 and could be increased to over 115,000 m2, is due to start this month, with operations scheduled to begin in 2026.
Storage capacity is expected to exceed 800,000 tires.
The German automotive supplier has seven distribution centers in the USA to date, but the Dallas center will be the first of its own.
The center will be equipped with the latest automation technology, as well as solar panels.
