USA: oil inventories down, gasoline up

S. crude oil inventories fell last week, but those of gasoline and distillates rose, the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) announced on Wednesday.

Crude inventories fell by 1.6 million barrels in the week to September 20, to 417.5 million.

Gasoline inventories rose by 0.1 million barrels, while distillate stocks, which include diesel and heating oil, also increased by 0.1 million barrels

Refinery capacity utilization reached 92.1%
