Renault: a futuristic minivan concept presented at Hanover

(CercleFinance.com) - At the IAA Transportation show in Hanover (Germany) on Monday, Renault presented a futuristic estafette concept developed specifically for city use.

The automaker explains that this 100% electric utility vehicle combines the footprint of a Kangoo with the agility of a Clio and the load volume of a Trafic.

Primarily designed for delivery drivers, the 'Estafette Concept' vehicle has been developed based on feedback from these professionals and taking their needs into account.

Its 'software defined vehicle' (SDV) architecture enables the integration of advanced functions such as real-time updates and predictive maintenance, with an estimated reduction in running costs of around 30%.

At the IAA, Renault also unveiled a prototype of its hydrogen-powered Master van, with a range of 700 km and a recharge time of just five minutes

The Group points out that this vehicle prefigures the hydrogen version of Master, which will complement the electric and internal combustion versions already available.

According to the company, Renault Master's multi-energy platform should be able to accommodate this new architecture in an integrated way, without compromising the strengths of Europe's number-one van manufacturer
