Carrefour: completed a 750 ME bond issue

(CercleFinance.com) - Carrefour today successfully placed a Sustainability-Linked bond issue for a total amount of 750 million euros.


This issue is indexed to two objectives: the first is linked to greenhouse gas emission reductions under the Group's Euro Medium Term Note (EMTN) program, on Scope 1 and 2; the second concerns the reduction of food waste.

This issue was nearly 4 times oversubscribed, demonstrating once again the financial community's great confidence in the quality of Carrefour's signature', says the group.

The 750 million euros raised will be allocated to financing the Group's general corporate needs and refinancing debt.

The bond will benefit from a 'BBB' rating from Standard & Poor's.
