Renault: partnership for road acoustics

(CercleFinance.com) - Renault Group announces the signature of a partnership with Bruitparif to create the first acoustic map of roads in the Île-de-France region.


Following a successful trial in Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines in 2023, some thirty Megane E-Tech cars, fitted with sensors and Renault's Apache box, will measure road noise levels over a two-year period.

A road's noise reflects its condition, influencing energy consumption and pollutant emissions. This map will help local authorities prioritize road upgrades, thereby reducing noise pollution and the environmental impact of traffic.
