Vinci: acquisition of HKR Roadways in India
(CercleFinance.com) - Vinci Highways, a subsidiary of Vinci Concessions, has signed an agreement to acquire HKR Roadways in India.
This company holds a contract ending in 2041 with the Telangana State Government for the concession of the SH1 freeway.
Vinci Highways' investment in this transaction will be in the order of 40 million euros.
In service since 2014, this freeway is a 206 km arterial road in Telangana, linking its capital Hyderabad (population 11 million) to the north-east of the state.
This acquisition is being carried out in partnership with the infrastructure fund Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP) - Emerging Markets, with Vinci Highways and GIP expected to hold 51% and 49% respectively of the concession company.
Completion of the transaction is expected by the end of 2024.
