Lockheed Martin: $1.3bn contract with US Army

(CercleFinance.com) - The US Army has awarded a $1.
3bn production contract to the Javelin Joint Venture (JJV, the joint venture between Lockheed and Raytheon), the largest to date for Javelin missiles.

The contract, part of an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity agreement, will produce and support Javelin weapon systems, with the aim of reaching 3,960 units per year by 2026.

This contract is in response to growing worldwide demand, including from customers such as Kosovo and to replenish stocks sent to Ukraine.

The Javelin is developed by Raytheon and Lockheed Martin.
