ING: slowdown in weekly share buybacks

(CercleFinance.com) - ING announces that, as part of its 2.
5 billion euro share buyback program announced on May 2, it bought back almost 11.1 million shares last week, at an average price of 15.85 euros, for a total outlay of 175.6 million euros.

These figures mark a clear slowdown in share buy-backs, since in the previous week, the Dutch bank had acquired 17.9 million of its own shares, for a total amount of 276.4 million.

The total number of shares bought back by ING under its program thus stands at almost 124.1 million to date, for a total of 1.97 billion euros, or around 78.9% of the program's maximum total value.
