Aegon: raises interim dividend
(CercleFinance.com) - On announcing its 2024 interim results, Aegon announces a 2-cent increase in its interim dividend, to E0.
16 per share.
The Dutch group posted a H1 net loss of E65m, while its operating income fell by 8% to E750m, on an unfavorable mortality experience mainly linked to financial assets in the US.
The latter affected its operating capital generation, which fell 5% to E588m, while the insurance company nonetheless says that it is on track to achieve its target in this area of E1.1bn for FY 2024.
In line with our strategy of reducing capital employed by financial assets in the US, we have seen our capital employed fall by $0.4bn, and are on track to reduce it to E2.2bn by end-2027, CEO Lard Friese added.
