Electrolux: unveils results of washing study

(CercleFinance.com) - Electrolux announces that garments, including jeans and t-shirts, could last over 50% longer by using gentler washing conditions, such as lower temperatures and shorter cycles.


This conclusion stems from a seven-year study conducted by the company, which revealed that a cotton T-shirt washed at 30°C for 59 minutes has a significantly longer life than one washed at 40°C.

Despite these benefits, many Europeans continue to wash their clothes at higher temperatures, mainly out of habit or lack of confidence in the effectiveness of gentler cycles.
