Equinor: wins 2 GW offshore wind leases in US
(CercleFinance.com) - Equinor has been announced as the provisional winner of an offshore wind lease auction in the US Mid-Atlantic region, organized by the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM).
The lease, with a capacity of around 2 gigawatts, could power nearly 900,000 American homes. Equinor won one of the two leases with a bid of $75,001,001 for an area of 101,443 acres, located 26 nautical miles from Delaware Bay.
