Generali: share buybacks announced with H1 results
(CercleFinance.com) - On announcing its H1 results, Generali announces the launch of a share buyback program worth up to E500m, to be completed by the end of the year, as part of its commitment to increase shareholder remuneration.
The Italian insurance company announces H1 2024 adjusted net income of E2bn, down 13.1%, although stable excluding capital gains and other exceptional items recorded a year earlier.
Operating income rose by 1.6% to E3.7bn, buoyed by strong contributions from its life and wealth and asset management segments, while its gross written premiums increased by 20.4% to E50.1bn.
