Bp: completes acquisition of Getec Energie

(CercleFinance.com) - bp announces that it has finalized the acquisition of Getec Energie, one of the leading energy suppliers to commercial and industrial (C&I) customers in Germany.
The agreement for this transaction was announced in January 2024.

According to bp, this acquisition will enable it to accelerate the growth of its European presence in the gas and electricity sector, while offering opportunities to develop integrated low-carbon energy solutions for C&I customers in Germany and elsewhere in Europe.

Building on its existing footprint, bp will now supply gas and electricity directly to C&I customers in countries where Getec Energie is active, primarily in Germany, but also in the Netherlands, Austria, Belgium and Poland.
