USA: durable goods orders fall again
(CercleFinance.com) - Orders for durable goods fell again in June, after four consecutive months of growth, reported the Commerce Department on Thursday.
After rising by 0.1% in May, these orders fell by 6.6% last month, due to a 20.5% drop in orders for transportation equipment, a highly volatile item.
Excluding transport, however, durable goods orders rose by 0.5%, well above the 0.2% increase forecast by economists.
