SES: $3.6m contract with US Army
(CercleFinance.com) - SES Space & Defense, an SES subsidiary, announces that it has been selected to provide satellite communications (SATCOM) as a managed service (SaaMS) to the US Army under a $3.
6 million framework agreement.
The contract was awarded to Global Enterprise Solutions, a company acquired by SES in 2022.
The SaaMS pilot includes end-to-end managed subscription services, enhancing SATCOM connectivity at five locations across three commands (NORTHCOM, EUCOM, USINDOPACOM).
David Fields, president of SES Space & Defense, said the program will enable the U.S. military to easily acquire the equipment and bandwidth needed for mission success through the integration of new technologies.
