Beneteau: Boat sales down 32% in H1

(CercleFinance.com) - H1 sales for the Boat division totaled E557m, down 32% on 2023.


As anticipated, this was affected by the reduction in inventories in the
distribution network - around E80m over the period, in line with the forecast of E100m to E150m for the full year, the group says.

Excluding these effects of changes in dealer inventories, sales were down 4% over the period.

In the 'Motor' activity, sales were down by 39% over the half-year, while the number of units delivered fell by more than 60% over the period. In the 'Sailing' business, sales were down 24% over the half-year.

Inventory reduction in distribution networks is expected to continue in the second half, reaching between E100m and E150m for the full year, as initially forecast. In this market environment, the Boat Division anticipates sales of around 1MdE for the full year, Beneteau points out.
