Logitech: reducing carbon emissions
(CercleFinance.com) - Logitech has published its annual impact report for fiscal 2024 detailing the company's progress towards its sustainability ambition.
The company reports continued progress in reducing large-scale product carbon emissions through sustainable design (DfS) across its portfolio.
In 2023, product-level modifications represented a reduction of almost 139,000 tonnes of CO2e across the company's portfolio and operations, equivalent to circling the Earth around 13,000 times in an average gasoline-powered car.
' In our quest to achieve our ambitious short-term goal of reducing Scope 3 emissions by 50% by 2030, we have now reduced our carbon footprint (Scope 1 and 2) by 58% since 2019 and our value chain emissions (Scope 3) by 24% compared to 2021. Designing for sustainability and using renewable energy sources will be our path to further reducing our footprint' said Hanneke Faber, Logitech CEO.
