Nokia: successful trial for Airtel in India

(CercleFinance.com) - Nokia has announced the successful completion of its first non-autonomous 5G Cloud RAN (NSA) trial with Bharti Airtel in India, a project that supports the operator's strategy to deliver a superior customer experience using high-performance networks.


It is expected to deliver higher levels of service innovation, greater network automation, greater flexibility and efficient scaling of resources to support end-user services, Nokia explains.

The trial took place in a wireless environment using 3.5 GHz spectrum for 5G and 2100 MHz for 4G. Data calls were made with user devices on Airtel's commercial network, achieving speeds of over 1.2 Gbps.
